| Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies Ingredients -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup softened butter -- (1 1/2 sticks) 3/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup packed brown sugar -- firmly packed 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 eggs 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup chopped nuts -- optional Pre-heat oven to 375° Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside. In a large bow using an electric mixer beat softened butter, sugars, and vanilla until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Add chocolate chips and nuts (if desired). Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes then remove to wire racks to cool completely. |
