Maple Bars

Ingredients

½ cup sugar
⅔ cup flour
½ cup butter
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup rolled oats
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla or maple extract
1 egg

Makes 16 Bars

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Grease a square pan, 8 × 8 inches.
  3. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Spread in prepared pan.
  4. Bake 30-35 minutes. Cut into squares while still warm.
